Gene Cooper has accomplished many things in a life spanning more than 70 years; primary among these is his central career as an educator, most notably as a professor of Art History.

He has quite literally “Put his paintbrushes where his mouth is” and has dared to do something that few academicians have had the courage to do... he has become a genuine working artist, struggling for hours every day with all of the trials and tribulations that that entails.
